Our Story

Founded in 2015, Torah Shelaima has grown to become a leading organization supporting hundreds of families across North America. Dedicating ourselves to building Torah at every level, some of our programs include:

  • 50+ Torah Scholars, studying Torah at the highest levels
  • A dynamic Kiruv Center, warmly welcoming jews from all backgrounds, bringing them back to their roots
  • 150+ schoolboys, in our Bonim U'Bonim after school learning program
  • And more!

There are still several programs launching this year and now we are in dire need of funding to continue

Kollel
Our four Kollelim, spread out across Monsey, Riverdale and Roslyn ny, currently include fifty-two avreichim, selected for their sincerity, diligence and fine character. our Kollelim feature:
  • Rigorous in-depth learning, daily mussar seder and optional Semicha program with thorough exams.
  • Personal mentoring from the Rosh Kollel, Rabbi ghermezian, guiding avreichim and helping them develop into community leaders.
  • Successful alumni who have gone on to become Roshei Yeshiva, Roshei Kollel and Rebbeim.
  • Opportunities for community members to learn together with Kollel scholars, including Sunday programs in Riverdale and Roslyn.

Kiruv
Over 10,000 Jews, most of whom come from persian backgrounds, live in Roslyn and neighboring great Neck. Many of them have no connection to Torah. We’re reaching them through our flagship Roslyn Kiruv center led by Rabbi Yitzchak Levychaim, offering:

  • Stimulating classes and at-home learning programs for community members, introducing them to the timeless wisdom of Torah.
  • Evening programs for high school boys, featuring gourmet food and fascinating Torah lectures.
  • Shabbaton's and at-home programs showing the beauty of a Torah life.

Kids
Our Bonim U’Bonim Boys night Seder is an exciting after-school learning program for 6th-8th grade boys, with over nine branches in the NY/NJ area and growing fast. We encourage homework review, and help boys find satisfaction in their Gemara learning.

  • Convenient neighborhood locations provide a structured environment, conducive to learning and reviewing.
  • Daily treats, weekly certificates, and exciting raffles reinforce the boys’ commitment to learning.
  • All boys can feel accomplished and successful, regardless of their academic level.
